One of the amazing things about being a wedding photographer is the variety of venues and wedding celebrations I’ve gotten to experience in Raleigh and surrounding areas but I always feel at home when I’m at the beautiful Barclay Villa Castle in Angier, NC. “Although weddings and receptions are Barclay’s specialty, Barclay Villa is also a banquet and corporate meeting facility that is very much in touch with it’s splendor and class. This magnificent mansion retains the ambiance and history of a European castle.”
Kirsten and Corey’s wedding was held at the end of February and lets just say it was cold with a high of 34 but this did not deter Kirsten from doing her photos outside. I felt so bad because I was in a sweater blouse, sweater, jacket, gloves, and a hat but I warned her ahead of time that I would go for comfort outside over looking good, lol.
When I arrived it was great to see how calm and relaxed everyone was. Cathy and her team were downstairs preparing the ballroom for the ceremony while the bride and groom were upstairs in different rooms getting ready. I photographed some details and then myself and the groom/groomsmen headed out to the garden to take some photos. I love it when a couple wants to get as many pictures done before the ceremony rather than waiting to do everything afterwards.
The wedding ceremony was beautiful. The flowers were done by Dragon fly. The cake and cupcakes were by the wonderful team of Ashley cakes and everyone rocked the night away with All events DJ. I hope you enjoy their wedding photos. I loved working with this sweet couple!!!
