Erica and Matt were married at Cedar Grove Acres Creedmoor, NC. This was my first time at this particular wedding venue and I must say I was not disappointed. This historical family farmland is nestled in rolling pastures making the perfect backdrop for a wedding. I arrived early and went straight to the cottage where Erica and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Before we got things really started I knew I wanted to do a creative silhouette of Erica getting her makeup done and man oh man I love how the photos turned out. Once Erica was in her dress she did a first look with her dad. It was all I could do to hold back the tears because of the special moment. Then she and her soon to be husband did a special prayer through the door without seeing each other.
Next on the list was bridesmaid pictures followed by the groomsmen. I like to get as many formal pictures done before the wedding so that it leaves more time for bride and groom photos after the ceremony. During the ceremony I looked behind me and the sky was totally dark. I was praying it wouldn’t start raining. Prayer answered, the rain drops started after I took one family picture and then everyone made a mad dash to the covered reception. During situations like this I remain calm to keep the spirits of everyone high. The rain stopped long enough for me to finish everything.
The evening ended with great food, cake, and dancing. If you are looking for a beautiful rustic wedding venue Cedar Grove Acres is the perfect location.
