Punta Cana, Dominican Republic is a place in the world for destination weddings, Holly and Tony’s choice of the Secrets in beautiful Punta Cana, is a destination wedding I will never fogert photographing. As a raleigh wedding photographer it was a dream come true. I can now call myself a Punta Cana professional photographer. I’ll never forget I met Tony and Holly at the Southern bridal show and thats all she wrote, I have made some friends for life!
Getting to Punta Cana Dominican republic was the hard part. 3 weeks before myself and the 2nd photographer flew out my house was broken into and one the the things they stole was my passport. Really??? My first destination wedding and this happens? The good thing is if you really have to you can get a passpost pretty quickly.
We arrived in Punta Cana, got on our bathing suits and headed down to the pool where we found the bride, groom, family and friends. They were having a great time. Not sure how Holly’s dad talked me into getting into the swimming contest but I did it and thought I was going to die afterwards, lol but it was so much fun.
The weather in Punta Cana Dominican Republic was hot and nice all day but the afternoon seemed to bring showers. The day of the wedding it was sunny and then rained, then stopped raining just in time for the wedding ceremony, thank you god. It was still very cloudy during the ceremony but I think once you look at the pictures you’ll see the love, and beauty from the atmosphere.
After we did all the beach shots we walked around the grounds of the Secret Royal Resort to get some night shots, had a wonderful dinner and then headed to the club for some dancing shots. It was a great time.
The next morning we did some under water photography and finished off some trash the dress pictures on the beach. Stay tuned for Trash The dress pictures in an upcoming blog. here you can view the trash the dress pictures
Thank you to Nicole Faby for being the 2nd photographer and sharing in this great wedding.
