I met Ashley and her mom at a wedding show that was held in Raleigh, NC. I knew right away that we were a perfect fit. Ashley was looking for a creative wedding photographer. The weeks leading up to the wedding it rained, rained and rained some more. The day of the wedding it also rained but thankfully we were able to get some shots outside in between the rain. The dreary weather did not stop the guest and family from partying the night away.
This is a wedding I will never forget. A year ago I photographed the couple’s engagement session on this wedding venue’s property and I was attacked by the owners dog 20 minutes before Ashley and Theo arrived. I will only say that I was shocked on how things were handled and sad I will have a scar on my leg for the rest of my life. I did not let onto my clients how much pain I was in or how shook up I was until after the session because I knew they were only in town for a couple of days and this was suppose to be an exciting time for them. I wasn’t going to take that away from them. So when a potential client ask me what if I’m sick on the wedding day you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be there unless I’m layed up in the hospital and if that were to happen I would get it covered. My reputation and how I do business is very important to me. HUGE thank you to Michelle, the mother of the bride, who sent me flowers that day, checked on me regularly, and showed me true compassion. You will never know how much that meant to me. Wow writing this has given me true closure on this and I’m happy I will never do another wedding at the venue.
