Downtown Wake Forest, NC is such a hidden gem for engagement photography, and this recent session with one of my sweet couples shows exactly why. When they told me they love playing Uno at bars, I knew we had to make their session personal and fun. Enter White Street Brewing Company—one of the coolest spots in downtown Wake Forest. With craft beer in hand and a deck of Uno cards spread across the table, they laughed, teased, and showed off their competitive sides. Honestly, capturing real moments like these is what engagement photography is all about!
The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. It just so happened to be Friday Night on White, Wake Forest’s iconic downtown street festival. The town closes down White Street, brings in live music, food trucks, and local vendors, and the whole street turns into a lively celebration. We took advantage of the atmosphere, snapping photos with the buzz of the crowd, and the band in the background. Their session was equal parts romantic and fun—exactly like them.
What I love most about engagement sessions in downtown Wake Forest is the variety. You get charming historic brick backdrops, cozy breweries, and then step outside into the middle of a bustling festival with so much energy. For couples who want their engagement photos to feel true to who they are, downtown Wake Forest offers endless possibilities.
If you’re looking for an engagement photographer in Wake Forest, NC, I’d love to help you plan a session that’s unique to you—whether that means sipping local brews, dancing in the street, or playing a round of Uno with the person you love most. After all, your engagement photos should feel like you.
