Where do I even begin about this wonderful wedding? Over 20 years ago I worked in a little bar called the Karaoke House Cafe in Myrtle Beach, SC. Shelby Anne's Dad was my manager and thats how I met Dawn, Shelby Anne's Mom. We were a pretty close group back in the day singing till the wee hours of the morning. I eventually moved to NC and lost contact with my old friends but thankfully Facebook re-connected us . I was thrilled when Dawn reached out to me for photographing Jake and Shelby Anne's wedding.

The wedding day started off with beautiful blue skies but as we started to near the ceremony the clouds started rolling in. I am so so happy the couple decided to do a first look before the ceremony. After the ceremony it was raining, thundering and lightning but that brought in some much needed cooler air.  "Rain on your wedding day is a superstition said to bring good luck to the marriage. According to the old wives' tale, the knot in "tying the knot" becomes wet and is harder to break, thus making the marriage stronger. "
