Alli and Gareth were married at the beautiful Sutherland in Wake Forest, NC. When they booked their January wedding with me I was for sure that it was going to be cold. I even went out and bought a toboggan and gloves but didn't need them because we had a little warm front come through that weekend. Yayyy.

The day started out at Alli's parents house in Cary. I arrived to find some bridesmaids in the bathtub laughing and eating while Alli was getting ready. I knew in that moment I was going to have a lot of fun photographing this group. I hung out at the house for about an hour just capturing the happenings of the day and then I headed to The Sutherland in Wake Forest to get some detail wedding shots before everyone arrived. The limo driver arrived late to pick the girls up but that didn't damper the mood we just rearranged the schedule and went with the flow. After Alli got in her dress and did a first look with her dad I went over to the guys room to get a few getting ready photos of them. The great thing about the Sutherland is they have a rustic cabin for the guys and then the girls can get ready in the main house. 

Karen and Jim, Alli's parents, also wanted me to do some video on the wedding day. I'm so glad they not only have photographs to remember their special day but they can also relive it by watching their fusion video over and over again. Ya'll can I just say I love Karen and Jim. They started all the leg work in finding wedding vendors for the couple since Alli and Gareth live out of state.They honestly made me feel like I was apart of the family. They even surprised the couple with fake snow during their reception since the wedding theme was winter. Lenny Friits, my favorite DJ, made that happen. I love you guys and thank you sooo much for trusting me with Alli and Gareth's wedding!
