Meagan & Terry's Carlee Farm Wedding | Oxford, NC

I love this family to pieces. Gena and John, who own Carlee Farm, are Terry’s aunt and uncle — Terry is John’s nephew — which made Meagan and Terry’s wedding feel less like a venue booking and more like a family reunion that happened to have a ceremony in the middle of it. John officiated the wedding himself, and I have to be honest — I laughed a lot behind the camera during the ceremony. But isn’t that what weddings are supposed to be? Love and laughter, in whatever order they show up. Photographing a wedding where the venue owners are also family gives a Carlee Farm day a different texture — there’s an ease to it, the kind that only comes from everyone in the room actually knowing each other.
